Not long ago the manufacturer smart watch NO.1 presented its new product, the D5+ watch. But resting on one's laurels is by no means an activity to which the company is accustomed. A few weeks later, the next NO.1 D5 Pro watch was announced, which, as one can assume, became a development of the original NO.1 D5 model. The features of the D5 Pro include powerful hardware - at the level of low-end smartphones.

Over the past few years, Apple has continuously improved the quality of shooting, eventually achieving very good results in authoritative ratings. In September, a new generation of iPhone was released, and immediately after the start of official sales, it was tested by DxOMark. Experts passionately tested the cameras of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus and rendered their verdict.

Yesterday Meizu announced a “new” Meizu smartphone M6. We’ll tell you why the word “new” is in quotation marks today, but for now let’s talk about another device that was presented at the same presentation. This is a Meizu M20 external battery. Despite the seeming uselessness of such devices, for people who are far from being away from the outlet during the day, it still doesn’t hurt to have one “just in case.”

Action cameras that shoot in 4K resolution are no longer uncommon. There is one in the rich assortment of the pioneer of this niche, GoPro. However, until recently, shooting was only possible at 30 fps, which is not very good. Extreme sports enthusiasts were in dire need of a 4K camera with the ability to record events at 60 fps, and the other day it happened. The camera called GoPro Hero 6 Black has been officially presented and is already available for order.

Last year some iPhone owners 6S and iPhone 6S Plus on new iOS 10 complained about a strange glitch. Smartphones suddenly began to turn off spontaneously when the charge level dropped to 35%. Later it was established that the problem turned out to be a hardware issue, and the fault lay entirely on the company’s side. As a result, owners of defective iPhones were able to replace the battery for free. But Apple went even further.

Recently, Xiaomi presented a modified version of its smart fitness tracker Mi Band 2, which will be promoted by popular Indian actor Hrithik Roshan. The accessory received even more sophisticated algorithms for tracking user activity and increased time battery life. There were, however, irreparable losses. All the details are in this material.

After the announcement of a new device, the public almost always becomes interested in exactly how much the company will earn from its sale. The more famous the brand, the greater the interest. Well, when it comes to Apple, it’s almost impossible to satiate the public’s curiosity. Need I say that the iPhone X, presented on September 12, among others, aroused particular interest? Yesterday, Chinese sources close to the supply chain announced the prices at which Apple purchased key components for it.

Recently, a new batch of rumors appeared on the network, according to which the American chip maker Qualcomm is preparing another mid-end mobile platform. This will be the Snapdragon 635 model, which should take the free space between the Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630 SoCs released at the beginning of the summer. Snapdragon 635 promises to be interesting solution, mainly thanks to the new GPU.

Last night at Apple's new headquarters, named after Steve Jobs Theatre, the announcement of three new iPhones took place: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. All three smartphones are based on new processor Apple A11 Bionic. The chip aroused interest because, firstly, it turned out to be 6-core, and secondly, almost at the same time as the announcement of smartphones, GeekBench published the performance of the A11 Bionic, which can be called impressive.

Yesterday, Samsung Electronics announced that the company soon plans to begin production of new single-chip systems with processors created using 11-nanometer technology standards. For their production, it is planned to use the LPP (Low Power Plus) process - the same one used, for example, for the production of 14-nanometer SoC Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor was expected in the second half of 2017. The most suitable candidate for the debut of this single-chip system was the Pixel smartphone family. But the other day it turned out that Qualcomm does not plan to release an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 835. It would seem that that’s it, the public is going home. But everything turned out to be a little more interesting.

The company's product range has been expanded with a new action camera, Explorer Dual. Unlike competitors' models, Elephone tried to make its product attract attention. First of all, this was achieved thanks to two screens - an option rarely found in other manufacturers of accessories of this type. The second and perhaps even more important feature is the powerful hardware, which allows you to shoot video in resolutions up to 4K.

There is no longer any doubt that the iPhone 8 with an OLED screen will cost more than its younger brothers, the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus. The question remains open as to how much Apple will dare to raise the price. So far, everyone is in favor of the fact that the price of the anniversary smartphone will exceed $1000. At the end of this material we will present the currently known prices for new iPhone, for now we’ll tell you about one of its most expensive components.

The Helio X30 processor can be called, without exaggeration, the failure of the year. Despite the 10nm manufacturing process, the number of orders for the fresh 8-core MediaTek SoC is staggeringly low. We, at least, only know about one smartphone that should be released on this processor - Meizu MX7 Pro. MediaTek itself, presumably, was counting on something more. But perhaps the chip maker will have luck with another Helio P series chipset? Recently, some details about him became known.

For people leading an active lifestyle, having a camera in their arsenal to capture the best moments of life is a must. However, camera is different from camera; not all of them have the required set of properties. Some, for example, are suitable for filming in adverse conditions, others require more gentle handling, but also provide more opportunities, for example, they allow you to shoot panoramic video. Without waiting for the onset of a bright future, when there will be cameras that combine everything at once, the Insta360 company has already tried to combine the latest achievements of science and technology in one device, and what came of it - read in our material.

Pebble's history came to an end last year when it was bought by Fitbit, although in the memory of those who follow this trend, Pebble will forever remain the company that not only invented the smartwatch as a wearable accessory, but also made it popular. The other day it became known that the new Fitbit watch will be the Ionic model, which incorporates the best practices of Pebble and the company’s own ideas. With the release of Ionic, the developer hopes to challenge Apple Watch and numerous competitors on Android Wear.

MediaTek has started sending out invitations to a special event to be held on August 29 in Beijing. It is expected that during the presentation, one of the largest chip makers in the Asia-Pacific region will show at least two new single-chip systems: Helio P23 and Helio P30. Details about the new processors will be revealed during the presentation, but some information has already leaked onto the network.

According to new data, Apple is almost ready for the third generation of smart phones. Watch. Moreover, it looks like we won’t have to wait long for the announcement date. No later than September, the main presentation of the Cupertino company in 2017 should take place, during which all the key developments of Apple over the past year will be presented. In addition to the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus, the anniversary iPhone 8 will be announced. It is during this announcement that the Watch 3 will also be released.

In the coming months Intel company will release the platform with a new set system logic based on the Intel 300 chipset, as well as processors Coffee Lake-S with the aim of responding to AMD and its revolutionary Rysen processors.

Intel's upcoming chipset will receive the 300 series and we can expect the chipset top level will be called the Z370, which is ironically similar to the AMD X370 chipset. It is also expected that this series Intel chipsets 300 will be revealed in motherboards supporting Q370, H370, B350, Q350 and H310.

The motherboard for Intel 300 Series desktop processors will be based on the current LGA 1151 socket. Earlier rumors claimed that Coffee Lake-S on the 300 Series chipset will feature a 6-core Intel processor with Hyper-Threading to increase the number of computing operations.

AMD has already introduced its 8-core Core 8 processors and 6-core processors at a price point below Intel's, and while there are a few issues, the performance is good for the money. Now Intel is promoting its new processors. At this stage the chipsets Intel series The 300 will feature built-in USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) and Wi-Fi adapter, which are great additions to this new platform. Everything else will correspond to Intel 200 series chipsets.

Intel is rumored to release its new Coffee-Lake processors in late summer 2017.

Coffee Lake S will be launched alongside the new Z370 chipset, which is known as CFL-PCH (Coffee Lake PCH). The platform will feature an LGA 1151 V2 socket, while it will have the same number of pins as the current LGA 1151 socket, and it looks like Intel is moving to drop support for Coffee Lake processors on older ones motherboards ah with LGA 1151, such as the Z270 series. It is claimed that Intel will clearly differentiate the chips using the "V2" moniker to prevent consumers from buying the wrong board for their Coffee Lake desktop processor.

The new 6-core parts will contain 50% more cores, threads and cache compared to the current offering. So we're looking at the next-generation mainstream Core i7 processors with 6 cores, 12 threads and 12MB of L3 cache. The same way, Core models i5 will be the first Intel models with full hyperthreading support. Core i5 models will come with 4 cores, 8 threads and 8MB L3 LLC (last level cache). This is due to 4 cores, 4 threads and 6MB LLC on the current Core i5 model.

All models of the Coffee Lake S family will be equipped with the following graphics chip Intel generation GT2. Pentium series will include 2 cores, 4 threads and up to 4 MB L3 cache. There will also be some models with 3MB L3 cache with GT1 level graphics chips.

The slide that Intel showed to partners at a South Korean event on May 23 was leaked to the press. The schedule confirms that the chip giant is indeed planning to launch the first wave of Coffee Lake processors in August 2017.

This new line The main processors, which will be launched in August/September, will include quad-core and six-core models with TDPs of 65W and 95W. The chips use the same LGA1151 socket as the current mainstream models and will launch with the new Z370 chipset. On this moment It's unclear whether Coffee Lake will require a new motherboard. This is the first time Intel will offer six-core models in the mainstream desktop market.

The second wave of Coffee Lake processors will launch in the first quarter of 2018, this launch will include dual-core models as well as more advanced 300 series chipsets.

Another interesting note is that the slide shows a maximum of 12 cores for the Skylake-X series. This confirms that Intel's plan to launch HEDT processors with up to 18 cores is a very recent development and a direct response to AMD Ryzen Threadripper.

It also became known that after the 14-nanometer Coffee Lake, Intel will release 10-nanometer new generation processors called Cannon Lake. The company also stated that after Cannon Lake the Ice Lake generation will be released, but it should not be expected until the second half of 2019.

At the beginning of January 2017, the CES 2017 exposition was held in Las Vegas, where Intel showed its new developments. These were the latest Core computer hearts (Kaby Lake design), which are used for desktop PCs. It should be remembered that Kaby Lake was released back in 2016 for tablets and laptops.

Processors were developed based on the latest 14-nanometer process technology. Development of this new Intel products lasted about three years because the company abolished the Tic-Tac system, which had been the basis of technology development for decades, and replaced it with a more complex one, adding another Tac. Its main functions are action, structure, optimization.

Initially, such quad-core devices appeared on sale new Intel processors 2017, like Core i7, Core i5. Each runs on a combined Intel HD Graphics 630 monotype.

The Core i7-7700K is equipped with TDP and tops the entire line. He has maximum power, clock frequency it ranges from 4.2 GHz to 4.5 GHz with Turbo Boost. The processor has 8 MB of built-in memory of the third level and a multiplier that guarantees the possibility of overclocking. The cost of this device is about 340 US dollars.

Next comes the Core i7-7700, but without such a multiplier, with a frequency of 3.6 GHz. The price is approximately 300 US dollars.

The Core i5-7600K is a good option. Its specs are similar to the Core i7-7700K, but it has less memory (6MB) and the processor doesn't support HyperThreading. The amount of such Intel is about 240 US dollars.

New Intel Kaby Lake processors

Kaby Lake have a power of 4.5 W, and their maximum reaches 91 W. They are considered the most fast processor for modern gadgets such as tablets and laptops in the mass market. Core are identical Skylake chips. Company Intel new processors created for greater comfort and productivity, improving the condition and developing other, more effective concepts.

Today, all Intel products are manufactured based on Core chips, which are likely to become the main ones in this and subsequent years.

The most popular models for the LGA1151 platform:

Kaby Lake is an energy efficient series modern processors well-known company Intel, which have their own characteristics and are externally different from the rest.

New Intel 2017

Kaby Lake features the same Skylake chips, only with more advanced internals. Despite this, some interesting models are still present (not taking into account the most popular processors):

The Intel Core i3-7320 is very similar to the Core i3-7350K. The first one is a universal copy of the overlocker. inexpensive processor. It is fast, clocked at 4.2 GHz, but can be overclocked using the expensive Z170/Z270 Express motherboard.

Intel Core i5-7400 is the most budget option for Kaby Lake. There are 4 cores, 3.0-3.5 GHz, memory is 6 MB, 65 W TDP. The updated media block is provided here.

The Intel Pentium G4620 costs about $85. It has 2 cores, partially missing commands, a small amount of memory (3 MB). The advantage is 4 processor threads.

Seventh generation processors are high-quality and productive for desktop devices such as laptops, tablets and can be individually selected the desired model depending on the goals of the work.

The first full day of the Computex 2017 exhibition turned out to be very eventful. At 9:30 am local time, the pavilions of the exhibition complexes opened and thousands of people rushed to the stands.

As part of Computex 2017, several significant press conferences were held on May 30, which will be discussed in this material. At 11:30 a.m., the NVIDIA presentation began at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Jensen Huang, its charismatic leader, spoke about the successes of the Californian manufacturer.

The main announcement concerned a new reference platform for gaming laptops called Max-Q. Talking about the principles underlying the platform, Jensen Huang drew a parallel with space technologies. After all, even the term Max Q itself came from there - this is the moment of flight at which aerodynamic drag is maximum. That is, this parameter is cornerstone in the construction of space rockets. NVIDIA has taken the same granular approach to its gaming laptop design philosophy as NASA did with its space solutions. The Californians set a goal to make products that, with a case thickness three times smaller, would be three times more productive than their predecessors.

As a result, NVIDIA together with ASUS created a laptop with a thickness of only 18 mm, which is equipped with a top-end video card - GeForce GTX 1080. Such a computer also weighs relatively little - 2.3 kg. At the California company's event, details about the laptop were not disclosed, but this gap was partially filled at the ASUS ROG presentation.

To achieve a balance of performance and thermal efficiency, NVIDIA has made changes to many components graphics accelerator: these include graphics core frequencies, supply voltage, and drivers. Was developed and new system cooling, which could fit into a thin case and at the same time worked efficiently and not too noisy.

The issue of noise was one of the key issues when developing the Max-Q platform. NVIDIA even announced a special technology called WhisperMode (from the English Whisper - “whisper”), which should reduce the noise level during the game by smoothly adjusting the graphics settings, albeit leading to a slight drop in frame rate.

Laptops based on Max-Q will go on sale on June 27, among mobile PC manufacturers such companies as Acer, Aftershock, Alienware, ASUS, Clevo, Dream Machine, ECT, Gigabyte, Hasee, HP, LDLC, Lenovo, Machenike, Maingear, Mechrevo, MSI, Multicom, Origin PC, PC Specialist, Sager, Scan, Terrans Force, Tronic"5, and XoticPC.

In the afternoon, Intel held a press conference, at which the company made a very powerful presentation. The day before we reported several leaks of information about the company's future processors, so the announcement of new high-performance Intel Core X-Series chips did not come as a surprise. At the same time, a new brand debuted - Core i9, rumors about which have also been circulating in recent weeks.

So, for now, Intel has revealed full information about five new processors: quad-core Kaby Lake-X models (Core i5-7640X and Core i7-7740X), as well as more productive Skylake-X: 6-core Core i7-7800X, 8-core Core i7-7820X and 10-core Core i9-7900X. Later, 12-, 14-, 16- and even 18-core processors will also be presented. The latter is called Intel Core i9-7980XE (Extreme Edition) and is priced at $1,999. You can find out the characteristics of the announced processors from the table below:

Intel itself calls the new products 8th generation Intel Core processors, claiming that during internal testing it was found that the performance improvement exceeds 30% compared to 7th generation Intel Core processors. We will definitely check this statement during our own testing.

The new processors now feature support for Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, which now allows you to allocate two cores running at maximum speed and redirect critical workloads to those cores, thereby allegedly delivering significant performance gains for single- and multi-threaded applications. However, there is an important caveat: the technology will only work on older processors with more than eight cores. That is, if we talk about the already announced models, then these are the 8-core Core i7-7820X and the 10-core Core i9-7900X.

Among other improvements, Intel notes support for AVX-512 instructions, a new cache memory hierarchy (the second level cache has been increased, but the third level has been reduced), four-channel access to DDR4-2666 memory (for all models except the six-core Core i7-7800X). The number of PCIe lanes is 16 for Kaby Lake-X processors, 28 for Core processors i7-7800X and Core i7-7820X and 44 - for older models.

New processors also require a new socket - LGA2066, so to upgrade you will have to change the motherboard. Simultaneously with the announcement of processors, Intel also introduced a new chipset for them - Intel X299. The main change compared to its predecessor X99 was support for 24 PCI-E 3.0 lanes instead of 8 PCI-E 2.0 lanes. The number of USB 3.0 channels has also increased - from 6 to 10, but the number of SATA 3.0 channels has decreased from 10 to 8. The communication interface with the CPU has also been updated - DMI 3.0 has replaced DMI 2.0. In the near future you will be able to learn more about all the nuances of the new family of processors and the X299 chipset from the material of our processor guru Ilya Gavrichenkov. We hope that the new products will soon reach the 3DNews test laboratory and we will compare them in terms of performance with both their predecessors and competitors from the AMD camp.

At the Computex exhibition on stands large manufacturers motherboards, just yesterday you could see products based on X299.

Let's see how AMD can respond to Intel's announcement, the press conference of which will also be held as part of Computex 2017. It should be noted that the release of AMD Ryzen has significantly changed the situation on the processor market, which will only benefit users - competition is always good for the market.

At the NVIDIA morning conference in the hands of the head of the company we saw ASUS laptop, which became the debut product based on the Max-Q platform. Therefore, it is not surprising that Jensen Huang appeared on stage at the ASUS ROG presentation; after all, the highlight of the program was the new gaming mobile PC.

The new product is called ASUS ROG Zephyrus. In addition to the above characteristics - width 18 mm, weight 2.3 kg and the presence of a GeForce GTX 1080 - ASUS has declassified several more features of the device, but detailed specifications have not yet been published. Thus, the laptop runs on a seventh generation Intel Core i7 processor (Kaby Lake), Windows 10 Pro is used as the OS, and the IPS display supports NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and a 120 Hz picture refresh rate.

As you can see from the image, the laptop has an interesting location of the touchpad - it is located to the right of the keyboard, and the key block itself is shifted to the bottom edge of the laptop body. As a result, there is a large amount of free space above the keyboard - it looks quite unusual.

ASUS claims that its laptop, despite its small size and powerful graphics, heats up and is less noisy than its competitors. The laptop will go on sale on June 27, perhaps closer to this date the ROG Zephyrus specifications will be published.

About ten days before the start of Computex ASUS to announce gaming laptop on the base AMD processor Ryzen. Therefore, many of those present expected that the announcement of this mobile PC would take place at the ROG presentation. But that did not happen. Perhaps the presence of the head of NVIDIA at the event interfered - after so many warm words addressed to Jensen Huang, the head of ASUS did not dare to praise the product based on the competitor’s decision. Nevertheless, we still found information about a laptop based on AMD Ryzen on the official ASUS website. So, meet: ASUS ROG Strix GL702ZC!

In the top version, the new product is equipped with an 8-core Ryzen processor 7 1700, simpler options carry Ryzen 5 1600 and Ryzen 3 1200 chips. Overclocking of processors is not supported. According to ASUS, the processors are no different in performance from their desktop counterparts.

The graphics component of the laptop is also fine - Radeon RX 580 with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory will allow it to handle almost any game at maximum settings. The resolution and refresh rate of the 17.3-inch display can be different: 4K and 60 Hz, Full HD and 75 Hz or 120 Hz. Of course, AMD Freesync technology is supported. The dimensions of the laptop are larger than those of the record holder ROG Zephyrus: the thickness exceeds 3.3 cm and the weight exceeds 3 kg. Maximum volume random access memory DDR4-2400 - 32 GB. The capacity of NVMe SSD can reach 512 GB, it can be expanded by installing another solid state drive or hard drive into a 2.5-inch slot. ASUS ROG Strix GL702ZC will go on sale this summer, the price remains unknown.
