Account Termination




The Company may terminate any account at any time for any reason within its discretion, without refund.

Venue and Jurisdiction




This Services Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Ohio, U.S.A., and you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts of the state of Ohio. In the event that any portion of these terms and conditions is considered by a court to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. You agree that regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to the Services or the use of the Website, must be filed within one year after such claim or cause of action arose.

General Provisions




This Services Agreement constitutes the entire agreement and understanding of the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes any and all prior agreements of the parties (oral or written) regarding such subject matter. Any terms or provisions of this Services Agreement which shall prove to be invalid, void or illegal shall in no way affect, impair or invalidate any other term or provision herein and such remaining terms and provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This Services Agreement shall be binding on the parties and their respective successors and permitted assigns. Client may not assign this Services Agreement without the prior written consent of the Company. Company may assign this Agreement (whether by operation of law or otherwise) to a successor of Company or to a purchaser of all or substantially all of the assets of Company without the prior consent of Client so long as such successor or purchaser agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions hereof. All provisions of this Agreement relating to ownership, proprietary rights, limitation of liability, indemnification obligations and payment obligations shall survive the termination or expiration of this Agreement. If the performance of any part of this Agreement by either party is prevented, hindered, delayed or otherwise made impracticable by any flood, riot, fire, war, judicial or governmental action, labor disputes, act of God or any other causes beyond the control of either party, that party shall be excused from such performance to the extent that it is prevented, hindered or delayed by such causes.

To gain access to any of the Services, the Client must agree to be bound by this Services Agreement.

Ventrilo Servers are hosted in secure data-centers located world-wide. The use of data-centers provides for security, power backup, sufficient internet bandwidth, and maximum uptime.

Ventrilo installation

After downloading the program, you need to install it. Double click on the downloaded file, the installation wizard starts, click "Next":

We agree with the user's license, click "I accept the license agreement", click "Next":

Choose the path where the program will be installed, by default it is: C:\Program Files\Ventrilo , click "Next":

After successfully installing the Ventrilo client on your computer, you need to connect to the server. We launch the program, an icon with it should have appeared on your desktop.

Click on the icon 2 times, in the opened program window, press the "->" button opposite the "User Name" field. In the window that opens, click the "New" button. Enter the desired name, click "OK".

Next, you need to enter the server parameters:

• In the line "Hostname or IP" enter the IP address of the server.
• In the line "Port number" enter the port number.
• In the "Password" line, enter the server password (optional depending on the server settings)
• Click "OK"

How to use some features of the Ventrilo software

Private Chat:

right-click on the user with whom we want to start a "private chat", select the line: "User --> Private Chat ..."

Phantoms:

right click on the channel where we want to put "phantom", "Miscellaneous --> Add/Remove phantom"

How to make the player louder/quieter in Ventrilo:

To do this, you need to select a person or the entire channel, right-click on it, then the "Miscellaneous" -> "Special effects" -> "Add Volume" tab, and move the slider in the desired direction.

The "Integration" function shows the name of the music or movie that you are currently playing:

right-click on the Ventrilo window, click on: "Integration", choose which player you play music or a movie in, click OK.

Disabling "Private Chat" and "Send Page":

right-click on the Ventrilo window, click on "Change stat" --> uncheck "Accept pages" and "Accept Private chat sessions", click OK.

Copying a comment from a user:

right-click on the user (channel) from whom (where) you want to copy the comment, select the menu "Miscellaneous --> Copy comment.

Administration/creation of channels

In order to enter the admin panel, we press RMB on the server name. In the window that opens, click "Channel Admin" and select menu "Create..."- (Create)
