New tablet iPad Pro was officially presented at the Apple presentation on October 30. The tablet turned out to be an exact copy of the model from the iOS 12.1 code, received support for facial recognition technology, which turned out to be even more advanced than in the flagship iPhone, a USB-C connector and a smart second-generation Apple Pencil with gesture support.

The main feature of the iPad Pro that catches your eye when you first look at the tablet is, of course, its display. The stunning IPS panel with a diagonal of 11 and 12.9 inches and bezels that tend to disappear evokes true admiration for the abilities of Apple engineers. But the main thing is that they managed to make the display absolutely symmetrical, despite the TrueDepth system, which is responsible for facial recognition.

The heart of the tablet is the eight-core A12X Bionic processor. It is 90% faster than the previous generation, which allows it to be considered one of the most productive “stones” for personal computers.

Apple's WWDC 2018 was earlier this year without mention of the 2018 iPad Pro models, and while the launch wasn't expected, it's been over a year since Apple updated its pro tablet line.

The developer conference provided several hints as to what might be next in iOS 12, while recent leaks, rumors and patent filings also offer clues as to Apple's next steps.

New iPad Pro 2018: Latest Rumors, News and Leaks

Just days before Apple's biggest event yet on September 12, the iPad Pro has appeared in some pretty compelling leaked images. This gave us an idea that there may be a new iPad coming next week.

The following photos come to us via MySmartPrice and appear to be based on CAD documents that have been leaked online.

As you can see, the traditional Home button is gone - and will almost certainly be replaced by Apple's Face ID technology - and the 3.5mm headphone jack is also missing, which shouldn't surprise us.

The images are accompanied by a video, which you can watch above, presumably showing off the new 12.9-inch iPad. It is expected to join the smaller 11-inch model to update Apple's 2018 iPad Pro.

Specs, features and design for iPad Pro 2018

In recent years, beta software Apple software have served as valuable clues to future products, and the recently released iOS 12 beta is no different in this regard. We've seen hints several times that the next-generation iPad will have a TrueDepth HD camera, which is necessary to add Face ID to the flagship tablet.

Developer Steve Troughton-Smith discovered that AvatarKit came to the iPad as part of the latest beta. This tool will include the new Memoji in iOS 12. Of course Hardware is still required, but it looks more likely that the technology will make it to the next iPad Pro based on this evidence.

Developer Guilherme Rambo, noted for his eagle eye in such matters, also noticed the presence of Face ID settings hiding in the iOS 12 beta on his iPad Pro. A Face ID screen appears, which for obvious reasons cannot be done. However, this is a pretty clear indication that Apple can expect to launch the upcoming iPad Pro with biometric security technology.

New hardware and camera in 2018 iPad Pro

If we follow tradition, we expect the iPad Pro 2019 to include an improved version of the A11 Bionic chip that appeared in the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. We expect it to be called the A11X Bionic. Recent rumors suggested that it will be eight-core, compared to the six-core A11 processor in the iPhone X.

Cameras haven't always been the focus of the iPad Pro, but given that Apple is going into AR, there's a chance that the company will step up the real picture. Recent iPad Pro releases have included a 12-megapixel rear camera with a 7-megapixel one. Perhaps there will be a small update here too.

iPad Pro 2018 screen

Apple appears to have established 12.9-inch and 10.5-inch panels as the optimal size for the iPad Pro, so we expect the pair of new models to retain these specifications. However, Apple may change this resolution slightly. The iPad Pro currently has 265 pixels per inch with 2224 x 1668 (10.5 inches) and 2732 x 2048 (12.9 inches).

Given that the company is looking to conquer 4K content through the iTunes Store, could it consider a full 4K panel that supports HDR? An OLED screen might be on the list of requests for iPad Pro fans, but given the potential impact on price as well as current shortages, we'd say it could only be a dream.

In early August, the iOS 12 beta shows evidence that the next iPad Pro will arrive with ultra-thin bezels, Face ID, no Home button, and no notch.

As we mentioned above, previous rumors have indicated that the iPad 2018 iPad could feature a notch on the display to accommodate sensors and a front-facing camera. However, if Apple opts for thinner bezels (rather than non-existent ones), the touch matrix could perhaps do so without the need for a notch on the display.

While it can be argued that this is not the basis for a new product, others iPad versions appear with thicker borders and a Home button in the same iOS 12 beta. You can see them for yourself.

Ahead of its release comes a rumor that the new iPad Pro 2018 could bring a drastic change to how the device charges. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple plans to switch from Lightning to USB-C. We can easily imagine this, and most likely we will find out on Wednesday, September 12th.

iPad Pro 2018 release date

Quite often with Apple products we can point to certification times of the year when it likes to update its products, but there is no real picture with the iPad Pro. Here's how Apple released its products:

  • Original iPad Pro 12.9-inch – November 2015
  • iPad Pro 9.7-inch – March 2016
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd generation) and iPad Pro 10.5-inch – June 2017

Apple has already released a new version of its simpler 9.7-inch iPad this year, with no sign of a new iPad Pro. Apple also failed to announce new iPad Pro hardware at its recent WWDC event in June.

iPad Pro price (2018)

The iPad Pro will cost twice as much as the regular 9.7-inch iPad, and that's before you shell out for the Apple Pencil accessory.

The 10.5-inch model sells from 48 thousand rubles, and with a 12.9-inch display it costs 57 thousand rubles. In all likelihood, Apple will maintain 2018 prices, but may even increase them if the tablet gets an iPhone X-style design with Face ID technology.

Apple Pencil 2

The 2018 iPad Pro is rumored to launch alongside the Apple Pencil 2, a stylus designed with artists and creative ideas in mind. Recent rumors have suggested that the new Pencil will be easier to connect to the iPad (perhaps via a magnetic clip), while patent filings have shown Apple working on a new tip with the addition of an eraser.

New iPad Pro concepts

With so little information, fans have entered into their own ideas about the direction the next iPad Pro should take.

One such concept from designer Álvaro Pabesio envisions a next-generation tablet with an 11.9-inch display and no home button.

Of course, Face ID is present in the concept, and it also has dual rear cameras to give your photography functionality in line with today's high-end iPhones.

The designer also reimagined the tablet's multitasking functionality, allowing it to run iPhone apps alongside full-screen iPad apps.

The main advantage of the new model is its relatively affordable price. In Russia, the iPad Retina 2017 will cost from 24,890 rubles for a model with 32 gigabytes of memory and a Wi-Fi module. The upper price level of 41,890 rubles is set for the model with a cellular module and 128 gigabytes of memory.

The closest alternative among the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will cost almost 45 thousand (32 GB, Wi-Fi). The iPad mini 4 model with a cellular module and 128 gigabytes of memory will cost 2 thousand rubles less than the iPad Retina 2017 with the same characteristics, but when choosing a compact tablet, the user will receive a less powerful processor and a smaller screen.

Of course, for the sake of such an attractive price, the tablet has lost a number of technologies used in the iPad Pro. However, it is possible that just such a device - quite powerful, but simplified in terms of details - will take root as a tablet for the workplace or family use. Just like the iPhone SE, the new iPad Retina 2017 combines components and functions of different generations of the tablet - let's figure out how.

When will the iPad Pro 2 be released? Review and release date

Apple hasn't updated its tablets for a long time, which means an update to some iPad models is coming. And today, we will talk about one of them - iPad Pro 2. Will the second version of iPad Pro come out with a 12.9-inch screen? And what will the updated tablet be like? Let's figure it out now.

Overall, the current iPad Pro 12.9″ is not bad in terms of performance and other features that Apple has equipped it with. This is not to say that the first version of the professional iPad is already outdated, because it contains the best mobile hardware in the industry! The tablet can handle any load with a bang! And all thanks to the quad-core powerful processor A9X with 64-bit architecture. Those. In general, we can say that the first iPad Pro 12.9″ is still good and there is no need to change it, but this does not mean that Apple thinks so. Let's look at what the iPad Pro 2 will be like and when it will be released.

First of all, I want to note that the iPad Pro 2 will receive fresh and up-to-date, more productive hardware, an updated display and an improved camera. It is not yet known what features Apple will give the iPad Pro 2.

Display

With every new iPad, Apple puts a new display that is always brighter and more contrasty than its predecessor. Take even as an example. It is equipped with a new display that is brighter and more contrasty than the iPhone 6S display, and previously it seemed that the iPhone 6S display could not be better. The same goes for the iPad Pro 2 - it will receive an update Retina display with a resolution of 2048 × 1536 pixels (264 ppi) with True Tone technology, which adjusts the display temperature to the ambient light. Brightness and contrast will increase. Also, the iPad Pro 2 display will be covered with an oleophobic coating, which prevents fingerprints from appearing.

Performance

iPad Pro 2 will most likely be equipped with a new quad-core A10X processor with a 64-bit architecture made using a 10nm process technology. Also, the A10X will be accompanied by an M10 coprocessor. In addition to the processor, the iPad Pro 2 can get as much as 6 GB random access memory! Let me remind you that the first version costs 4 GB. The iPad Pro 2 will have 32, 128 and 256 GB of memory depending on the model. Apple doesn't like to frequently increase the amount of permanent memory in new devices, so the iPad Pro 2 will remain the same.

Camera

iPad Pro 2 will be equipped with a 6-lens iSight 12 MP camera with autofocus and Focus Pixels technology. The aperture will change from ƒ/2.2 to ƒ/2.0, allowing for better photography in low-light conditions. The iPad Pro 2 camera will also feature improved noise reduction technology and optical image stabilization. True Tone flash - 4 LEDs.

It will be possible to record video in 4K format (3840x2160 pixels) at 30 fps, Full-HD - 1080p at 30 or 60 fps and HD - 720p at 30 fps. Supports slow-motion video recording at 1080p resolution at 120 fps or at 720p resolution at 240 fps.

The FaceTime camera in the iPad Pro 2 will have the same 5 MP, ƒ/2.0 aperture, video recording with a resolution of 1080p and a Retina Flash, which works by instantly flashing at maximum display brightness.

Power and battery

iPad Pro 2 will be equipped with a more capacious lithium-polymer battery, which will provide the tablet with up to 12 hours of Internet browsing. Wi-Fi networks and playing video or music. iPad Pro 2 will last 2 hours longer than the first model. This is a feature of the iPhone 7, which, according to Apple, should last longer than the iPhone 6S. Most likely, this technique will be taken into account in the production of the iPad Pro 2.

Home button

Perhaps the iPad Pro 2 will be equipped with a new mechanical button"Home" as in . She reads touches and perceives gestures. The second generation Taptic Engine vibration motor is responsible for the response. The third generation Touch ID fingerprint scanner will be built into the button itself.

When will the iPad Pro 2 be released?

The previous version was released on September 9, 2015 and a year has already passed. At the September 2016 presentation, we did not see the second version of the professional iPad, which means Apple is in no hurry to update this device so quickly. This is correct, because the characteristics of the iPad Pro are still good, it calmly copes with any tasks assigned to it. Therefore, most likely, at least two years will pass before Apple needs to update the iPad Pro. This means that most likely the iPad Pro 2 release date is September 2017.

How much will the iPad Pro 2 cost?

In the US, the price of iPad Pro 2 will be the same as the first model:

  • iPad Pro 2 32 GB Wi-Fi - $799
  • iPad Pro 2 128 GB Wi-Fi - $949
  • iPad Pro 2 128 GB Wi-Fi + Cellular - $1,079

And the iPad Pro 1 will become cheaper. For 100 or 200 dollars.

The price of iPad Pro 2 in Ukraine will start from 26,000 UAH for the younger model with 32 GB of memory and reach up to 37,000 UAH for the model with 256 GB of memory and 4G network. In Russia, prices for iPad Pro 2 will range from 60,000 rubles to 90,000 rubles.

This is all that is known about the future iPad Pro 2. You can follow the news and rumors. Write in the comments what you would like to see in the new version of iPad Pro.

iPad review Pro, photo and its characteristics Overview and characteristics iPad Air 3

At the end of October 2018, at a presentation in New York, Apple presented 3 new creations at once: MacBook Air, MacBook Mini and iPad Pro. Undoubtedly, all 3 devices deserve close attention, but in this review we will talk exclusively about the new iPad. In 2017, more iPads were sold than all laptops combined. Thus, iPad Pro is both the most popular tablet and portable PC. Agree, there is no reason to consider the brand new iPad first.

Options and design of iPad Pro 2018

The standard delivery kit includes the following components:

  • Apple iPad Pro 2018 tablet of the selected configuration;
  • charging cord USB Type-C 1 meter long;
  • 18 W power adapter.

Let’s say right away that for an additional fee you can order useful accessories, including the innovative 2nd generation Apple Pencil stylus and keyboard Smart Keyboard Folio. We'll talk about them in more detail a little later.

The new iPad Pro comes to market with two display options:
  • 11 inches- this option has dimensions of 247.6x178.5x5.9 mm and weight 468 g;
  • 12.9 inches- the dimensions of this configuration are 280.6x214.9x5.9 mm, and the weight depends on the network modules (versions with only Wi-Fi weigh 631 g, and versions with support for Wi-Fi + Cellular - 633 g).

We can say that Apple engineers have competently thought through the design of the new line of tablets. Thus, the 11-inch version of 2018 has almost the same dimensions as the 10.5-inch iPad Pro. However, the new product received a larger display. This was achieved by minimizing the frames as much as possible. They turned out really thin. True, because of this we had to remove the “Home” button and minimize the dimensions front camera, but it’s unlikely that any users will complain about it.

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2018 also turned out to be frameless, but this is not its only highlight. The tablet is 25% smaller than the same version of the previous generation. This had a positive effect on ergonomics and, accordingly, ease of use.

Despite the fact that Apple has made the tablets as small as they could, the new products are not left without important design elements:
  1. Top end equipped with two speakers (right and left), three microphones (located in the center above the front camera), a multifunction button responsible for turning the device on/off, as well as switching it to sleep mode and waking it up (located near the right side).
  2. Bottom end It is also equipped with a pair of speakers and, best of all, a USB Type-C socket. This port is capable of performing a number of functions. In addition to charging, it can be used to connect other devices (cameras, smartphones, monitors). That is, you can display the picture on large screens and enjoy playing games or watching movies. Also, the tablet can be used to charge other portable devices.
  3. Left side almost completely clean. There is only 1 microphone there.
  4. Right side equipped with volume rockers (at the top), as well as a magnetic zone (located in the center). You can attach the aforementioned Apple Pencil to it. At the bottom there is a place for a slot for nano-SIM cards.

As for the back panel of the iPad Pro, the user will find on it:
  • signature bitten apple (where would we be without it);
  • main camera and flash module (top left);
  • Smart Connector required to connect to the keyboard (bottom center).
To finish the design topic, let's talk about color options. There are only 2 of them: silver and “space gray”.

Stylus and keyboard of the new iPad Pro

At the presentation of the iPad Pro 2018, accessories were also presented: the Apple Pencil stylus and the Smart Keyboard Folio. We also decided not to bypass them. Moreover, there is something to talk about here.

So, the stylus has a one-piece design without moving areas or connectors. The matte finish allows the accessory to fit securely in your hand, making it very comfortable to work with. One side of the stylus is flat. You need to use it to apply the “pencil” to the magnetic area of the tablet to charge. When docking is successful, a slight click is heard. This way you will know for sure that the Apple Pencil has secured itself and has started charging. The absence of wires and additional transmitters makes the operation and storage of the accessory as convenient as possible.

  • By the way, if you remember, Lenovo came up with a separate compartment for the stylus.
Moreover, in the flat area (where the user's fingers will be) there are special sensors that will allow you to change tools with a double tap. For example, you can quickly switch between a pencil and an eraser. General functionality new Apple Pencil is truly huge. With it you can:
  • draw sketches or full-fledged paintings;
  • develop interior design;
  • create architectural projects;
  • edit photos;
  • write notes.
In a word, Apple engineers did everything so that the user would not want to let go of this accessory.

As for the Smart Keyboard Folio, it allows you to turn the iPad Pro 2018 into a full-fledged laptop. It is made in a book format and is magnetized to the back panel of the device through the aforementioned Smart Connector.

The keyboard is full-size and contains all the necessary buttons (except for the keypad). With its help you can quickly type texts and play some games. Moreover, the keyboard has a Command button. By clicking on it, the user will see a list of available commands and keyboard shortcuts for executing them. Thus, with a couple of clicks you can save files, change fonts, cut out a certain piece of text or copy it.

Since the keyboard is book-shaped, when closed it covers both sides of the iPad. Thus, it plays the role of not only a control element, but also a protective case that will protect the gadget from scratches and other damage. The user can set the keyboard in 2 positions. In one position it is more convenient to type, in the other - to watch movies.

In addition, using this control it is much more convenient to put the tablet into sleep mode and wake the gadget from it. It is enough to close the “book” and the device will “fall asleep”. Once you open the keyboard, you can start working right away.

As you can see, both accessories can become useful assistants in working with the iPad Pro 2018. The only negative is that they are not included in the standard package, so you will have to pay extra for this pleasure.

iPad Pro 2018: Display Specifications

As we mentioned above, Apple released its new tablet with two display options - 11 and 12.9 inches. In both cases, the screen is a rectangle with curved edges that perfectly follow the curves of the body. When creating the display, engineers applied the “edge to edge” principle, thanks to which the sensor occupies almost the entire front panel.

In addition to the diagonal, iPad Pro screens differ in resolution:

  • 2388x1668 pixels for the 11-inch version of the iPad Pro 2018;
  • 2732x2048 pixels for the 12.9-inch configuration.
The remaining key characteristics are completely identical. You can see them in the table below:
Display typeLiquid Retina
MatrixIPS
Backlight typeLED
Pixels per inch concentration264
Reflection coefficient1,8 %
Brightness600 cd/m2
Color gamutWide, P3 standard
Anti-glare coatingYes
Multi-touch supportYes
Fingerprint protectionYes
AdditionallyLaminated screen cover

As you can see, the main characteristics of the display are quite impressive. Besides, iPad screen Pro 2018 has a number of features:

  1. The Liquid Retina display uses sub-pixel anti-aliasing technology, which allows you to adjust individual pixels so that the edges of the picture perfectly follow the curves of the body.
  2. True Tone technology automatically adjusts white balance. This indicator automatically adjusts to the lighting, resulting in colors that always look natural. In addition, thanks to this technology, eye strain is significantly reduced.
  3. ProMotion technology automatically adjusts the refresh rate. This indicator changes depending on what you are doing (web surfing, reading text file, edit an image, or spend time playing a game). Thanks to this technology, the response speed of the sensor always remains as high as possible.
To sum up, we can say that the display of the iPad Pro 2018 fully corresponds to the high status of the device. It produces clear, rich images that will delight you no matter what you're doing.

Technical stuffing of iPad Pro 2018, its testing

The developers equipped the new iPad Pro 2018 with an advanced 64-bit 8-core A12X Bionic chip with an M12 motion coprocessor. At the heart of the tablet is the Neural Engine technology, which performs 5 trillion. operations per second. Thanks to its unique architecture, the new chip is 90% faster than previous generation tablet CPUs. In addition, according to official statements, the A12X Bionic is faster than the processors of 92% of laptops.

The graphics are handled by a chip that is 2 times more productive than previous generations of processors. Engineers also managed to speed up its operation by as much as 1000 times. This allowed the tablet to match the power of the latest Xbox. This hardware is enough to run games with full computer graphics.

As for physical memory, the user has 4 options to choose from: 64, 256, 512 GB and even 1 TB. The possibility of expansion, as usual, is not provided, so it is better not to skimp on this component.

Official statements from manufacturers are, of course, good. But what will synthetic tests show us? First, let's take a look at the results of performance testing in the SunSpider benchmark. Let us remind you that in this test the lowest result is the best. Here's what we got:

iPad Pro 2018 test result in the SunSpider benchmark

As you can see, the new iPad Pro is 20% more powerful than last year's Pro version. It easily outperformed advanced Android gadgets (the same Samsung Galaxy Tab S4). The tablet in question could not compete with flagship smartphones(Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Note 9). The only device that managed to come as close as possible to the performance of the iPad Pro 2018 was the iPhone XS Max.

Testing the performance of iPad Pro 2018 in the AnTuTu benchmark

In this benchmark, Apple's new product outperformed last year's tablet by as much as 98%. Nobody (not even the iPhone XS Max) could provide serious competition.

Test iPad Pro 2018 in the 3DMark benchmark

The new iPad Pro showed results that are 100% higher than last year's Pro version. The iPhone XS Max was also outperformed by a whopping 60%. As for the Android flagship Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, its figure is almost three times less than that of the hero of our review.

The practical test did not disappoint either. When running the latest version of the NBA 2K basketball simulator, the device consistently produced 120 fps. Add to this the ability to display images on a large monitor and the iPad Pro immediately becomes almost a full-fledged substitute for a desktop PC, laptop and game console.

In general, in terms of hardware, the engineers really did a great job. There is literally nothing to complain about. However, such high performance provides not only the processor, but also an optimized operating system.

Software shell of the new iPad Pro

The device in question runs on iOS 12. The platform has been optimized for both iPhones and iPads. With its help, it was possible not only to ensure high performance of new gadgets, but also to improve the performance of previous generations.

Generally, a new version The operating system allowed:

In more detail, the main camera of the new iPad Pro 2018 supports the following set of functions when photographing:

  1. Panoramic shooting with a resolution of up to 63 MP.
  2. Automatically focus the picture using Focus Pixels technology. Also, this technology Allows you to focus the image by touching.
  3. Live Photos mode with image stabilization.
  4. Exposure control.
  5. Reduce noise in photographs.
  6. Auto image stabilization.
  7. Serial shooting.
  8. Shooting using a timer.
  9. Geotagging a photo.
In addition, the main camera supports a wide color range and an improved local tone mapping algorithm. The photos turn out to be of fairly high quality, but you don’t need to expect sky-high results (this is, after all, a tablet, not a camera phone).

Also, the main module supports several basic video shooting modes:

  • 4K at 30/60 fps;
  • 1080p at 30/60 fps;
  • 720p at 30 fps;
  • 2 types of slow motion - 1080p at 120 fps or 720p at 240 fps;
  • Time-lapse shooting with video stabilization.
It is possible to improve the quality of the video using the mentioned True Tone Quad-LED flash. Cinematic video stabilization is supported when shooting in 1080/720p quality. While recording videos, you can enable autofocus tracking and noise reduction. Also, when recording video in 4K, you can take photos with a resolution of 8 MP. Geotagging in videos is available. When viewing captured clips, you can zoom in on the image.

As for the TrueDepth front camera, it gives the user the following set of functions:

  1. Take photos in portrait mode with portrait lighting.
  2. Auto image stabilization.
  3. Serial shooting.
  4. Exposure control mode.
  5. Shooting using a timer.
  6. Record videos in 1080p quality at 30/60 fps.
We should also highlight the fact that the front module supports the FaceID function. Thus, you can unlock your device with one glance, pay for a purchase, or log into some application.

Network functionality and sensors iPad Pro 2018

In terms of equipping their brainchild with network modules, Apple engineers also decided to show diversity. 2 variants of gadgets entered the market:

  1. Wi-Fi enabled. This version supports connections via Wi-Fi with frequencies of 2.4 and 5 GHz. There is also a Bluetooth 5.0 module. From navigation, a digital compass and iBeacon location system are available.
  2. Wi-Fi + Cellular enabled. In addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, there is support mobile networks 2G, 3G and 4G. That is, to access the Internet you do not need to be near the router, just insert a SIM card and connect the optimal tariff plan. Navigation options have also been expanded. Wi-Fi + Cellular versions support GPS, Galileo, QZSS and GLONASS systems.
The set of sensors is the same for all versions of the device:
  • 3-axis gyroscope;
  • barometer;
  • accelerometer;
  • ambient light sensor.

iPad Pro 2018 battery life

According to official data, the gadget in question is equipped with lithium polymer batteries:
  1. iPad Pro 11 inches -29.37 Wh.
  2. iPad Pro 12.9 inches - 36.71 Wh.
The developers assure that the device can work for up to 10 hours with Wi-Fi connected and simultaneously playing video or listening to music. Wi-Fi + Cellular versions can last about 9 hours on a single charge. The numbers are quite solid. But is everything so good in reality?

Let's take a look at the test results of the 11-inch version of the tablet, which only supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The gadget's load meant watching videos with 720p quality at 100% brightness, the activity of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, and constant sending of data via e-mail and in social network Twitter. Here's what the tests showed:

iPad Pro 2018 battery test result

As you can see, the hero of our review lasted only 283 minutes or 4 hours 43 minutes. This is the worst performance among all tested devices. Moreover, the load from a constant connection to mobile networks is not taken into account. Most likely, the Wi-Fi + Cellular versions will show even weaker results.

Thus, we are forced to state that autonomy is the main disadvantage of the new line of iPads. The creators equipped their creation with advanced hardware, introduced the widest range of functionality, but did not think about the time the user would need during operation. Of course, you can resort to tricks: turn off background programs, turn down the brightness, periodically turn off the network, and so on. But is this why we buy premium gadgets? To tinker with the settings and artificially prolong their life? Hardly. So here we give the new iPad essentially a single, but bold minus.

Advantages and disadvantages of iPad Pro 2018

We have identified the following strengths and weaknesses of the device in question:

prosMinuses
Beautiful stylish design and compact dimensions.Frankly poor battery life, due to which the user will constantly have to think about charging.
Availability USB port Type-C, which allows you to connect your iPad to other gadgets (cameras, smartphones, monitors).
High quality edge-to-edge display. Thanks to this, the new iPad Pro turned out to be a full-fledged frameless device.Very high cost of iPad Pro 2018; buy this gadget (even the most simple version) not everyone can do it.
Powerful technical stuffing, allowing the tablet to quickly perform any task: from surfing the web to playing demanding games.A blatant display of cunning on the part of the developers. Yes, they released several versions of iPads to give you plenty to choose from. But it is unlikely that anyone will be satisfied with the lowest configurations with minimal memory and without support for mobile networks. Apple literally forces people to purchase versions with the maximum configuration: normal memory capacity and Cellular support. In addition, the stylus and keyboard, about which a lot was said at the presentation, will have to be purchased separately. All this pleasure will not be cheap, to put it mildly.
The device works on latest iOS 12 with increased speed, user-friendly interface and wide functionality.
The model is equipped with good cameras that support all modern functions (including FaceID on the front camera).

    To summarize, the iPad Pro 2018 could be an almost ideal tablet. It has all the prerequisites: modern design, frameless display, ergonomic design, advanced hardware and software. But everything is spoiled by its autonomy. Even the high price could be forgiven (given the status). But demanding that kind of money for a quickly discharging device is, to put it mildly, wrong. Although maybe in the future the developers will “work their magic” on optimization and make the tablet more durable. But for now, the new iPad Pro is a gadget that can do a lot, but not for long.
