The General Satellite DRE-7300 satellite receiver is a digital satellite receiver that is designed to be able to view the operator's program package from the Eutelsat W4 satellite. Receiver GS DRE-7300 – full copy Digi Raum Electronics DRE-5000 set-top boxes. The only existing difference is that the GS DRE-7300 receiver is assembled by General Satellite, a company operating in Russia. The DRE-7300 terminal contains an STI 5518 chip, with which you can basic functions digital MPEG-2 signal processing. The set-top box is also equipped with a hardware-software decoder of the DRECrypt conditional access system and a DVB CI interface.
The DRE-7300 has a silver metal body. The case size is 300x170x40 mm. The front panel is equipped with a four-digit yellow-orange segment display. In operating mode, the display shows the channel number that is being viewed on this moment. Standby mode displays the current time. The display is equipped with additional icon segments that indicate the signal on the selected TV channel. The control system is represented by buttons for switching channels, switching the set-top box from one mode to another, and a TV/R switch button.
On the right side of the front panel there is an opening cover, behind which the user can find a standard Common Interface connector. This connector is used for the Viaccess module and other access systems.

The rear panel of the DRE7300 receiver is equipped with an RF tuner input LNB IN and a loop output LNB OUT, an analog RCA audio output AUDIO R/L, a composite RCA video output VIDEO, two Scart connectors (S-Video, RGB, stereo, YPrPb, CVBS). It has a power switch, an RS232 port for connecting to another receiver or computer, and an optical digital audio output S/PDIF.

Features of this firmware:
2 - the submenu search for tricolor TV channels has been removed from the main menu (but it is still available in the menu >> settings >> automatic search>> search type >> tricolor TV) or during initial installation (reset to factory settings)
3 - when entering the main menu or the game menu, the picture does not disappear!
4 - in the main nenyu the frills on the side were removed (in my opinion it was not harmonious :))
5 - exit from the channel list by double pressing the ok button (exactly the same as it is organized in 99% of all tuners)
6 - when you pressed the game button, a swastika was displayed, searching for tricolor channels is now like a proper swastika of the game :)
7 - the algorithm of the EPG menu has been changed - now it is much more convenient (everything can be done with just one button ok)
8 - in the Tetris menu the ok and up buttons have swapped places
9 - possible, but not guaranteed!!! The cause of freezes in receivers with 11 series modules has been eliminated.
10 - the firmware has already collected the current channels as of 10/05/2013, all garbage has been removed!!!
Past releases
The procedure is quite simple and does not require special skills from subscribers; you just need to follow the instructions for replacing the software from the info channel. The update process takes some time and you need to be patient and wait for it to finish. But despite all the warnings, some users do not wait for the software update process to complete and, as a result, the receiver stops working.
Practice shows that in very rare cases, even after waiting for the software update to complete, the receiver may not turn on after a reboot. There is only one diagnosis - a software update failure.
But don't despair. You can fix this yourself and at home, if you have a computer or another similar working receiver at hand. Below is how to do this. Helps in 99% of cases of unsuccessful software update from satellite.
Software update from a computer.
1. We purchase / solder ourselves null modem cable
2. Disconnect the receiver and computer from the network.
3. Connect the RS232 input of the receiver to the COM port on the computer.
4. Turn on the computer.

8. Click the Open File button and select the downloaded file with the firmware in the window that opens, having previously unzipped it.

10. The progress bar for the File uploading process will begin to show the % and time remaining until the software download process is completed.
In this case, the digital display of the receiver will display the letter L (Load) and the % of the process completed.
11. After this, the progress indicator of the Burning process will begin to show % and the time until the end of the process of burning (firmware) software.
In this case, the digital display of the receiver will display the letter b (burn) and the % of the process completed.
12. The software update process is completed. Turn off the receiver and computer. Disconnect the null modem cable.

For DRE 4000, DRE 5001, DRE 7300 the process is similar.

5. Enter PIN. The default is 0000 (four zeros).
6. In the Settings menu, select Data transfer.
7. A window will appear:
Press the blue button on the remote control.
8. Two scales appear. And the Data Processing scale will begin to fill.

10. Turn on the non-working receiver - plug it into the network and turn on Power on the back of the receiver.

The indicators of the receivers will display the progress of the data transfer/download process in % (on the display there is a symbol L – Load, loading, on the lower receiver, 5 – transmission, on the upper receiver).
12. After this, the following will appear on the TV:
Do not turn off the receivers!!! The process of writing firmware to the (faulty) receiver being flashed begins. In this case, the process will NOT be indicated on the TV screen. The indication process is visible on the display of the receiver being flashed (on the display there is a symbol b - burn, on the lower receiver).
13. We are waiting for the indicator on the receiver being flashed to reach 100%. Afterwards, the receiver being flashed will reboot and the display will show the following:
14. The firmware process is completed. Using the remote control to the question “Data transfer complete. Repeat?" select “NO”. Turn off the receivers and disconnect the null modem cable.
