Hello friends! Today I will tell you about the actions that need to be taken after you have enabled monetization on your channel in order to receive money earned through the affiliate program. Namely:
1) link your YouTube channel to your Adsense account;
2) confirm the address via PIN code in the letter to set up the method of receiving payments.
We do all this if we connect directly to the YouTube affiliate program. When connecting monetization through the media network, you will not need an Adsense account, and you will be able to receive payments using the methods that are available on the media network (Webmoney, PayPal, Western Union, etc.). Let's start with the fact that enable monetization on the channel, if you haven't already done so.
Important YouTube news from January 18, 2018: Now channels that have 1000 subscribers and 4 thousand hours of video viewing per year will be able to join the affiliate program and enable monetization. If you were previously connected to an affiliate program, but did not reach these targets, monetization on your channel will be disabled starting February 20, 2018. You will be able to re-apply once these indicators have been achieved!
In the “Creative Studio”, in the “Channel” → “Advanced” section, select your country. Previously, it was necessary to indicate the USA, since monetization was not available in Ukraine and Russia. Everything is available now.
After this, a green dollar icon should appear next to your videos:
Linking the channel with Adsense
Now we need to connect the YouTube channel with Adsense. To do this, in the same “Creative Studio”, in the “Channel” section, go to the “Monetization” tab. Here we are interested in the item “How to get the money you earn”, open it and follow the link.
YouTube warns us that we will be redirected to Adsense, click the “Next” button.
Now we are asked to select a Google account that will be used to log in to Adsense. We can select the same account where the YouTube channel we are on is located. this moment we tie it, or another one if you have several of them.
For example, I already have an Adsense account created, so if I want to link 1 more channel to it, then I click on the “Use another” button Google account" and choose the one I need.
At the next step, we specify the language of the channel. In my case - Russian.
In the screenshot I have fictitious data, just for example, since I will not create a new account.
When we fill out everything, click on the “Submit Application” button. We will be redirected back to the channel, where we will see a message that the application is being considered, and notification of its status will be sent by email. This does not happen right away, so you need to wait. It took me about an hour to get approved.
When the application is approved, you will see the following message in the “Monetization” tab:
Address confirmation and PIN code entry
You will encounter this step as soon as you reach $10 in Adsense. This is the so-called threshold value, after which, after reaching it, Google sends a letter with a PIN code to the address specified when registering your account.
The triple threshold is $100. This is exactly how much you need to dial to receive payment. All these threshold values and explanations for them are given in the following table:
Well, let's return to our letter, it looks like this:
By entering this PIN code, we confirm our Adsense account, and after that we will also be able to choose the method of receiving payments.
To enter your PIN code, go to your Adsense account. You can do this directly from the YouTube channel, in the “Monetization” tab:
Here we need to click on the gear in the upper right corner, select the first item “Settings”:

According to the new rules, in order to earn money from monetizing a channel through a direct YouTube affiliate or through a media network, you need to link the channel to an AdSense account. Today you will learn how to create an account in Google AdSense and how to link an AdSense account to a YouTube channel if an Adsense account already exists.

Connecting the YouTube affiliate program
Before you sign up for an AdSense account to monetize your videos, go to your YouTube channel and make sure that your channel has a good reputation. To do this, go to “Creative Studio”, “Channel” section, click on the “Status and Features” tab. If your reputation is good, find the “Monetization” item and click on the “Enable” button:
Here you will see an item about submitting an application for monetization, just click on the “Start” button:
A window with a user agreement will appear on the screen, you should read it, agree to the terms, check all the checkboxes and click “I Accept”:
How to link a channel to an AdSense account
A check mark has appeared opposite the first point, now proceed to link the channel with your AdSense account:
Click on the “Start” button, and in the next window click “Next”:
You will be automatically redirected to the Google AdSense website. Here you need to take 3 steps, first, select the Google account to which your YouTube channel is connected:
In the next step, fill in the fields with payment information, select the account type, enter the phone number, mailing settings and click “Submit request”:
An application to connect an AdSense account will be reviewed within 48 hours.
Setting up advertisements
If you have previously linked another channel to an existing account, a second check mark will immediately appear on your channel, then you can proceed to setting up advertisements on the channel:

Due to the fact that YouTube has introduced new rules, the monetization connection on channels may be slightly different. If there is a channel on YouTube, monetization is enabled, but there is no Adsense account, then in the “Monetization” tab you will see similar notifications. In any option, click on the blue button, in the next window “Next”, and when going to the AdSense website, select “Login” and follow all the steps described above.
If you don't know how to create an AdSense account from scratch or how to link your site to an AdSense account, visit the official website using this link. Here you will be asked to log in under your name or register with Google if you have not already done so. Click on the “Create account” button and enter the data in the fields.

To make money from your videos, you need to link your AdSense account to your YouTube account. You can create a new AdSense account or use an existing one.
According to the AdSense Terms of Use, creating duplicate accounts is prohibited. Before you link your AdSense and YouTube accounts, you need to enable monetization in the latter.

There are four ways to link your AdSense and YouTube accounts.

- In your channel settings, go to the Commercial Use page and select “How do I get the money I earn?”
- Click Next on the AdSense Connection page to proceed to AdSense.
- At the bottom of the page, click the option you want and choose which Google Account you want to use.
- Enter your Google account password.
- Confirm that you want to link your accounts.
- Provide your contact information and submit a request to connect your AdSense account.
- You will be returned to the YouTube page and a message will appear indicating that your AdSense account has been linked.
- AdSense will send a confirmation to your address Email, and the ID on the Link to your AdSense account page will be updated. The procedure may take up to 48 hours to complete. Ready!
- In your Channel Settings, go to the Commercial Usage page and select "View or Edit AdSense Linking."
- On the AdSense Link page, click Change.
- At the bottom of the page, click "Yes, sign in with a Google account" and select the account you want.
- Confirm the connection and the system will direct you back to YouTube.
- Your AdSense ID on the Connect with AdSense page will be updated. Ready!
How to link your AdSense account to your content owner account:
- Open the Settings page in your account YouTube content owner.
- Click on the pencil icon in the section AdSense.
- Click Go to AdSense.
- Select the Google account you want to use to sign in to AdSense. If you're already an AdSense publisher, sign in to the Google account you use to access account AdSense.
- If required, enter a password.

- Each YouTube creator himself determines the topic of his channel and decides what videos he will publish. However, it is our responsibility to maintain order on the platform and ensure that all viewers, creators and advertisers have a good experience on it. If you're a member of the YouTube Partner Program, you can earn money by publishing content, which is why we have some strict requirements for it.
- When you apply for the YouTube Partner Program, we will check to see if your channel is eligible. Such checks will continue to be carried out regularly after you become our partner.
Sources of income for partners
Each of these features has separate requirements for the number of subscribers and views. If, during verification, our specialists find out that your channel or a certain video does not meet the necessary criteria, you will not be able to enable the function. We set these restrictions for two reasons. First, we are required to comply with the laws of all regions where this or that function is available. Secondly, it is important for us that only bona fide authors can receive income.
Don't forget that checks may be carried out on a regular basis.

First, let's talk about what Adsense is and why you need it. Adsense is a contextual advertising service; using this service you can place ads on almost any website and in your YouTube videos.
Adsense will also pay you your earnings. Payments are made automatically once a month. Despite the fact that you can connect any other affiliate program to YouTube (for withdrawal of funds), Adsense remains the most expensive advertising on the Internet, since it pays you 100% of the funds earned. So, in order to submit an application to Adsense, you need to go to “ Creative studio» "Channel" "Commercial use"
You will see a list of questions, you need to select “How can I get the money I earned?” We click on it, after which we see a message that payment is made using Adsense and we need to link it to our YouTube account. Click on the inscription “tie him” in the window that appears, click “next” and we are automatically transferred to the following window:
We are offered to either log into a Google account or create a new one. But since we already have Gmail then you need to click on the “Yes sign in to your Google account” button and then enter the password and login for your YouTube channel. Once you log in you will see the following window:
Please note that Adsense already automatically contains the address of your channel on which you will display ads. You can specify any language for the content, as it does not play any role. Click next and the third step appears:
At this stage, you should be extremely careful. All data must be filled out in Latin letters. For example, since you have plastic card your First and Last Name are written, it is also worth indicating your real residential address, zip code and mobile phone number. All this is necessary so that Adsense can verify the correctness of your data. Once your Adsense account balance exceeds the payment threshold, you will be sent an email with a PIN code. And it will be sent to the address and person you indicated in this form. The PIN code is required to verify the correctness of the data, since payments will be sent to the address specified in the account. Once you fill in all the data, click the “Submit Application” tab.

Now all you have to do is wait for the application to be approved, but you can already safely earn money from your videos.
