The function connects other mailboxes to mail from Yandex. By other mailboxes we mean that this is mail from another service (for example, [email protected] or Mail from Google) or these are letters from the Yandex.Mail mailbox, but this mailbox has a different address.

When connecting another mailbox, all letters from additional mail will be added to mail from Yandex. That is, you get a large number of letters in one box. You can also reply to letters from another email in Yandex, but the recipient will see an address other than Yandex.Mail.

It is very simple to connect the processing of letters from another mailbox (for example, from [email protected]), but to do this you need to know the login and password to enter this mailbox. So, the transition to connecting the processing of letters from other mailboxes is on the left, under the functional menu and is signed “Add your Mailbox».

Only the login (with an extension, for example, the extension - “@mail.ru”) and password are entered. The icons at the top of the page show which email services you can connect to (no need to click them).

If successful, a message appears stating that the letters will be added within 10 minutes, and under the folder selection menu, a mark about the added mailbox appears.

Messages will be added that are not read, so I advise you to empty the Spam folder in the additional mailbox before adding. In my case, 130 letters were added, not counting the 70 that were sent to spam.

In Gmail you can receive messages from several mail accounts. Choose one of the options:

Import all messages(old and new). Use this method if you intend to continue receiving emails to another address (including your Gmail address). There may be a slight delay between emails arriving in another inbox and being imported into Gmail.
Receive only old messages. Suitable for those who have recently switched to Gmail.
Forward only new messages. Select this option if you want to instantly receive new messages from another inbox.
