It's light and comfortable wireless headphones designed specifically for comfort. Xiaomi weight AirDots weigh 4.2 grams and come with silicone earbuds that provide better sound insulation and a tighter fit. This will allow you to move comfortably and avoid the headphones falling out.

Balanced sound

Wide range of sound, deep bass, natural transmission of voice, impressive reserve of sound power. Special device structure 7.2 mm. dynamics allows you to effectively distribute the movement of sound waves. The composite metal membrane reduces sound distortion and allows you to hear your favorite music more clearly.

Touch control

Control is carried out using touch panels, located on both headphones, by touching which you can switch music, pause and answer calls. The headphones are compatible with Android and iOS devices.

Bluetooth 5.0

Xiaomi AirDots Youth Edition is equipped with advanced Bluetooth 5.0 interface with automatic noise reduction technology, which provides HD voice quality. The headphones synchronize with your smartphone in just 3 seconds at a distance of up to 10 meters.

12 hours of operation

The headphones use a 40 mAh lithium polymer battery using the latest developments in energy saving. This allows you to actively use Xiaomi AirDots for 4 hours of listening to music and 5 hours in mono headset mode, and a case with a 300 mAh battery gives an additional 12 hours of operation.

Finally, I was able to test the new full-size Xiaomi wireless headphones with support for the “correct” codec aptX.

Alas, today such are still rare: the age of the codec has not made it quite popular among developers, since it requires licensing fees in favor of Qualcomm, who owns the development.

So have Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headphones (TDLYEJ01JY), also known as Mi Bluetooth Foldable Headset, has every chance of becoming an excellent choice. Moreover, they are created on the basis of some of the most comfortable headphones.

And the price tag is humane. Let's take a closer look?

Everything new is well forgotten old

Xiaomi's new wireless headphones are nothing more than a relaunch of wired headphones. We wrote about them last year - a rather interesting model with an emphasis on stylish appearance and ease of wearing.

The wireless version has become more modest: bright light green, orange and white cases have been replaced by strict black ones. A white version also exists, but it will be quite difficult to find.

In my opinion, this is even better. White color is too easily soiled, and bright shades are for teenagers. So, unlike Mi Relaxed, the new Mi Bluetooth Headphones can be recommended for all ages.

Although at first glance it’s new - full copy ancestor, in fact the headphones have become a little more comfortable.

The most comfortable Xiaomi headphones

This is probably due to the slightly lighter design, thinner headband and updated ear cushion material. Although you can feel this only by comparing the 2 options on your own head.

This is a little strange, because unlike its ancestors, Mi Bluetooth Headphones received folding design and additional filling.

I still consider the previous version of the headphones to be the most comfortable on-ear headphones in price range up to 10 thousand rubles. And this despite the fact that the outside of the ear pad is made of cheap leatherette, and the inside is simple foam rubber. The headband is exactly the same.

The wireless option is no worse. Very comfortable, very light - I was able to wear them all day without any discomfort. The only problem is that your head sweats in the heat, but this is the problem with all budget headphones of this type.

I think that everything is decided by the unique “suspension” mechanism placed on the cup: the speaker and ear pad are separated from the cup by a rubber gasket with 3 degrees of freedom. It allows the headphones to sit at the correct angle relative to the head, leaving minimal work for the foam.

In fact, ear pads only work for sound insulation. Everything else is done by this flexible membrane, to which a metal mesh with a speaker is attached.

My use of Mi Relaxed (more precisely, my wife) for a year says that the materials are of high quality, wear and tear during this time is minimal. So it turns out that it’s not premium materials that decide, but good ideas.

And for Xiaomi they really work. It's great when $50 headphones are more comfortable than $100 ones.

When you don't need to look for a button

Control is the same as in Mi Relaxed, based on disguised as a cup fairing headphone button, which is used instead of the control button on the remote control in multimedia applications (start/pause) and for calls (accept/reject).

In addition, Mi Bluetooth Headphones have 2 buttons volume control, one of which is marked with a tangible dot. You won't miss.

The ergonomics are excellent. The hand, even in complete darkness, unerringly hits this button. A little to the side - the second one.

There’s no need to even talk about the button on the cup – it seems like this is the coolest idea for the main control button on headphones that I’ve ever seen.

Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headphones comfortable in everything. These are not oak ones for you Beats!

A little about communication: aptX and everything, everything, everything

These are Xiaomi's only wireless full-size headphones, so it's not surprising to find it quite fresh (for peripherals, of course) Bluetooth 4.1 and a complete collection of profiles: HFP/HSP/A2DP/AVRCP.

About availability aptX The license logo proudly reads. But this information was not included in the specifications on the box. Strange, isn't it?

The main feature of Xiaomi is connect to 3 sources simultaneously. It doesn't work perfectly, although the connection is stable. The headphones play audio from the device on which the multimedia application was last launched.

At the same time, on devices running Windows/macOS/Linux, the volume swing changes system volume, and on smartphones he lives his life.

The connection with the headphones is incredibly strong: music works even at a distance 10 meters from the source, and only a couple of reinforced concrete walls can become a real obstacle.

Sound test: wire vs Bluetooth

I don't like testing wireless headphones. What to expect from them? Even unique models with incredible price tags rarely sound at least at the level of their counterparts at half the price. I don't even swear by wired copies - if they are normal headphones, they will sound better.

ATTENTION. Don’t forget that in on-ear headphones, due to nonlinear reflections of sound, you can hear even more sound than in bookshelf speakers. Therefore, a good source and properly encoded music is a must.

However, there is something to be said about Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headphones. I didn’t like the sound of Mi Relaxed: flat, inexpressive, very simple. Next to Xiaomi “hybrids” and older overhead phones, they cannot stand any comparison.

However, Mi Relaxed plays better than Beats. Smoother, closer to the real recording. And Mi Bluetooth, even without aptX activation and with a streaming service as sources, is fatter, louder, and brighter than the younger modification.

I tested them in tandem with ZTE Axon 7 and a patch for aptX HD on different recordings - from mp3 at 320 kbps (own rips) and Google Music to Flac and WAV without compression, after direct rip from disk.

The verdict is logical and simple: aptX radically changes sound quality. Without it, Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headphones sound smooth, without coloration of any ranges, barely highlighting the lower frequencies for a more pleasant listening experience.

When using aptX, headphones perceive a higher bitrate, so the same songs sound fatter and brighter. In addition, it turns out that Mi Bluetooth Headphones cope excellently with the role of monitor headphones.

The lows become bright and voluminous – but with a predominance of dry clarity of sound. The average ones are played out in full with an emphasis on detail. The high frequencies fit perfectly into the overall mix, beautifully decorating the sound.

Mi Bluetooth Headphones sound like good wired headphones in the appropriate price range. That's why I'm writing this article in them.

Xiaomi or something else?

A new product in the Xiaomi line is a Bluetooth headset, Artem brought it with his own hands from company store and offered to test it. I took it and tested it! And this is what came out of it...

Design, construction

I had the opportunity to get acquainted with one of these things. This is Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headset, wireless headset. A segment that is now half-forgotten, where nothing will surprise anyone, and manufacturers are now competing more on price than on functionality - the new products of 2015 are very similar to the new products of 2010. Yes, now you can listen to stereo in one ear, the operating time has increased slightly, but otherwise the products have not changed. There is no such significant difference as, say, Samsung phone 2010 model and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Only five years, but the difference in opportunities is colossal. I’m saying all this to mean that Xiaomi could have safely not made such a product as a headset at all – but they did. They did it because they could. Let's see what happened.

The packaging is good, the box is made of white plastic, the headset is snow-white, matte, fingerprints are invisible. On the front there is a microUSB connector, on the back there is a single button, it is responsible for accepting and rejecting calls, and dialing the last number. When you turn on the device for the first time, it automatically goes into pairing mode, for once you have to see iPhone settings hieroglyphs. There were no problems with the connection. There is a miniature indicator light on the front of the headset, it would be better to move it to the back.

Interestingly, the multifunction button also starts playing a track and works with any programs on the iPhone - both starts and pauses. The A2DP profile is supported, the sound quality is good, you can easily listen to music or podcasts in one ear. TO additional functions This includes connecting two smartphones at the same time.

The headset uses the CSR 8610 chip, brief characteristics such:

  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • HD Voice support (must be supported by operator)
  • Headset battery status when connected to iPhone
  • Ability to install voice prompts in different languages (there are no prompts here)

You can see the characteristics of the chip; I must say that this is now a fairly popular solution for entry-level headsets.

The device comes in black and white, and the official website shows what it looks like in the ear.

In general, not very big. Even next to Apple technology, the headset looks quite decent.

The kit comes with attachments of three sizes, there is no temple, so you can’t really run around with the headset. Nozzles unusual shape, with a protrusion for better fixation. You can wear the device for a long time without discomfort.

Voice quality

The operating range when paired with the iPhone 6 Plus is about seven meters; in an apartment, the quality of speech transmission practically does not change at a distance from the smartphone. But there are complaints about the quality; the voices of the interlocutors are heard a little unnaturally, a little muffled even at full volume. You can be heard quite well, but it’s as if you are holding the phone a little farther from your mouth. This is all due to the design, the microphone is located far from the lips. In a quiet room you can communicate without raising your voice, but as soon as there is noise, you need to switch to your smartphone.

Nutrition

The stated operating time is 5 hours of talk time; while charging, the device is disconnected from the smartphone.

conclusions

In terms of our money, the headset costs about 800 rubles, which is not bad. The advantages of the device include good design, A2DP support, miniature size and weight. Voice quality is average. And now you look, there seem to be a lot of competitors, but they are either completely noname, or old Nokias, or there is no A2DP and in general some kind of ancient horror. Therefore (oddly enough) for the money the product is quite good.

For Xiaomi, the production of sports accessories is becoming an increasingly important aspect of its activities. We already know about Xiaomi Mi Sport Shoes Smart Edition sneakers, sportswear and fitness trackers from Xiaomi. Now a Bluetooth headset has appeared on the market, called Xiaomi Mi Sport Bluetooth. We will devote today's review to this new product, and in the end you will be able to decide whether you need Xiaomi Sport headphones.

Design

The appearance and ergonomics of the earphone evoke only enthusiastic exclamations. From a design point of view, these are two capsules, between which there is a rubberized wire for connection. The holder with the company logo makes it easy to remove excess wire. Although the memory effect is present, the wire will not tan or crack in the cold. In general, for a budget device, this gadget is made of excellent materials.

On the right side of the wire there is a one-button remote control on which a microphone is attached. Using it, you can accept and reject calls, as well as control your audio player. The capsules have a metal insert for decorative purposes, very reminiscent of the one used in the first Mi Band. One of these capsules has a similar LED. For Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset, it serves as an indicator that the headset is connected to a mobile device.

Compared to the first Mi Band, each capsule weighs a little more, but it is worth recognizing that the dimensions of the device in this case have increased significantly. On the side of the ear there are thickenings - an audio system. Inside the capsules themselves there is a battery and an electronic smart component.

The right capsule contains volume buttons, as well as a microUSB port. To increase the protection of these elements, a rubber plug is provided.

Xiaomi wireless headphones are supposed to be worn behind the ear. The ear hook is quite rigid; it is made of unbendable plastic. The acoustic chamber allows for the greatest possible contact with the ear. If not for this element, the headphones would simply hang on the ear pads. But this option is also provided by the manufacturer. The ear pads on the Xiaomi Mi Sport Bluetooth White are 2 times longer than the standard ones used on the Hybrid or Piston.

In a word, the Xiaomi Mi Sport Bluetooth White design is comfortable to wear in any format and with any ear size. Due to the fact that the kit comes with three sizes of ear pads, Xiaomi Mi Sport Bluetooth White is suitable for both men and women. An original option is to wear the earphone not completely inserted into the ear canal. This will allow you to hear surrounding sounds while enjoying music or having a conversation on the phone.

Well, if you want to completely ignore the environment, then insert the Xiaomi Mi Sport headphones tightly into your ears - maximum sound insulation is guaranteed. The product feels soft but durable. The structure is pleasant and rough, which at the same time creates a disadvantage in the form of accumulation of dirt on the surface and problems with cleaning.

Sound quality

Even compared to flagships, the sound quality in the Xiaomi Mi Sport Bluetooth headphones seems very good. Of course, with wired Xiaomi headphones We won't compare Mi Sport Bluetooth - it's simple different devices. But in terms of the combination of ease of use and sound quality, Xiaomi Mi Sport Bluetooth White has very few competitors. This accessory will be an excellent addition to your outdoor activities, will help with sports, or simply provide distraction during monotonous work or travel on public transport.

One of the main advantages of Xiaomi Mi Sport Bluetooth White is that the volume level is incredibly high. Even if there is a lot of noise around you, headphones will allow you to distract yourself from what is happening without the slightest problem. Communicating on the phone using a headset is also very convenient, since sound transmission is good in both directions, regardless of the scenario in which the device is used.

If we highlight the shortcomings of the sound, then it is worth mentioning the tendency towards bass to the detriment of high frequencies. The equalizer settings help somewhat, but the overall impression is still a little off.

Comparing the gadget with its competitor Meizu EP-51, we note that Xiaomi has better sound quality. And the main advantage is that thanks to the classic seating option, you can feel the music without any problems, fully enjoying it. Let us remind you that the headset from Meizu is made somewhat non-standardly, which is why during listening it creates interference in the ear canal, as if distancing the sound.

Autonomy

According to the manufacturer, the device can work on a single charge for 7 hours straight. But the mode of use of the headset is not indicated. During testing, we were able to obtain the following indicators:

  • In standby mode, the device holds a charge for 10 hours straight;
  • At low playback volume, suitable for a quiet room - 7 hours;
  • At medium volume (in the office, in the gym) - 6 hours;
  • At high volume in a noisy place - 5 hours.

Telephone conversations using a headset have virtually no effect on preserving battery life.

Compatibility and Connectivity

The gadget works with any device that has Bluetooth. The protocol of the headset itself complies with version 4.1, but due to backward compatibility, optional use with lower versions is ensured. There are also no restrictions on the hardware platform. You can connect the headset to both iOS and Android devices. It is also possible to connect to computers and laptops running Windows.

conclusions

In general, the Mi Sports headset turned out to be very successful. Here you will find a thoughtful, comfortable design, an attractive design, and a very comfortable fit. The autonomy of the device is also sufficient for you to safely leave the house and not carry a charger with you everywhere.

A distinctive feature of Xiaomi headphones has always been the best price-quality ratio. And in the case of headsets from a Chinese company this principle still counts.

The Xiaomi headphone line includes a dozen models that differ not only in price tag, but also in form factor. Most models are represented by in-ear headphones, and the only “black sheep” among the abundance of “plugs” are the Mi Bluetooth Headset and full-size Mi Headphones in two variations.

The best hybrid headphones from Xiaomi

Xiaomi Hybrid Dual Drivers Earphones (Piston 4)

One of the top-end in-ear headphones of the Piston series. Hybrid “plugs” are a special type of headphones in which an armature driver is responsible for high frequencies, and a dynamic driver is responsible for bass. Thus, with a small size of the earphone, it is possible to produce sound comparable in quality to on-ear models.

Advantages:

  • good and high-quality sound thanks to two types of emitters;
  • metal case;
  • well-developed ergonomics;
  • convenient control panel and fabric braided cable.

Flaws:

  • straight 3.5 mm jack;
  • a symmetrical wire is inconvenient for most users;
  • with iOS devices, the functionality of the control panel tends to zero;
  • overpriced compared to other Xiaomi models.

Xiaomi Mi In-Ear Headphone Pro HD

Representatives of the hybrid line, which combines the Piston 3 design and three audio drivers: two dynamic and one reinforcement. Thanks to this combination, the headphones manage to produce deep bass and high-quality high and mid frequencies.

Advantages:

  • two types of emitters produce high-quality sound;
  • metal case and durable cable;
  • control panel with large buttons.

Flaws:

  • The remote control does not work on iOS devices;
  • straight 3.5 mm jack.

The best vacuum headphones (plugs) Xiaomi

The third generation of vacuum dynamic headphones, rightfully considered the best in the Chinese company’s model line. At a low cost, the headphones have a stylish appearance and high-quality sound, which combines both high detail and clearly defined bass.

Advantages:

  • The best ratio of price and quality;
  • excellent sound with a good volume range;
  • convenient remote control with microphone;
  • nylon cable covering, Kevlar thread inside the wire.

Flaws:

  • presence of problems with some smartphones in the form of a non-working remote control;
  • symmetrical cable, inconvenient for headset-type headphones;
  • straight mini-jack.

The second generation of the “piston” series with high-quality deep bass and excellent metal design. Unlike Piston 3, they have more convenient buttons, as well as a missing braid above the remote control.

Advantages:

  • high-quality sound with deep bass;
  • good volume range;
  • excellent fit and sound insulation;
  • convenient remote control with microphone;
  • fabric braided wire.

Flaws:

  • weak microphone compared to the next generation Piston;
  • symmetrical cable and straight mini-jack.

The first model of the Piston series with a luxurious design and bright, rich bass. True, high frequencies are sometimes not enough, but headphones with such a price are created not for music lovers, but for those who like to listen to music on the road.

Advantages:

  • acceptable sound with deep bass;
  • elegant appearance;
  • Kevlar thread inside the cable;
  • fabric braiding of the entire wire.

Flaws:

  • heavy weight of headphones;
  • symmetrical cable;
  • presence of a direct 3.5 mm mini-jack.

11 best headphones for your phone

A simpler version of the “third pistons”, presented in several color variations. Headphones are primarily aimed at a youth audience, as a result of which, in order to save cost, the developers sacrificed sound quality.

Advantages:

  • surround sound with pronounced mid frequencies;
  • flat 1.25-meter cable and several housing color options;
  • high quality microphone.

Flaws:

  • weak bass and wheezing at high volumes;
  • straight mini-jack;
  • insufficient sound insulation;
  • symmetrical cable.

A kind of experiment by Xiaomi to find ergonomic solutions. Unlike classic earplugs, the Capsule model's headphones are inserted sideways, so they don't fall out when jogging or playing sports. Moreover, the Chinese themselves position the “capsule” as headphones for bass fans, but the quality of the output sound still leaves much to be desired.

Advantages:

  • well-developed bass with surround sound;
  • interesting design;
  • control panel with three buttons and microphone.

Flaws:

  • lack of removable ear pads;
  • uncomfortable fit with mediocre sound insulation;
  • straight mini-jack.

Xiaomi Basic (RM 25)

One of the simplest headphone models from the Chinese company with a low cost and an appearance a la Piston 2. However, unlike the same second “pistons”, the headphone body is plastic, and the cable does not have that high-quality nylon braid.

Advantages:

  • acceptable sound at a low cost;
  • design in the style of the “older” Piston 2;
  • light weight due to plastic housing;
  • the presence of a microphone and the ability to use it as a headset.

Flaws:

  • rubberized cable without braid;
  • straight mini-jack.

The best Xiaomi on-ear headphones

On-ear/full-size headphones from Xiaomi with a convenient folding design and stylish appearance. This model is the most expensive in the company’s line and produces high-quality surround sound comparable to devices from top audio manufacturers.

Advantages:

  • the presence of over-ear and full-size ear pads;
  • high range of reproduced frequencies;
  • light weight and presentable appearance;
  • foldable design with convenient bowls;
  • extensive kit with covers, replaceable ear pads and adapters;
  • long detachable cable.

Flaws:

  • open design, as a result, the reproduced sound is audible for others;
  • direct mini-jack and two-way cable connection.

A lightweight version of on-ear headphones, presented in a plastic case and three colors. Unlike the older model, the headphones in the Light Edition version “lost” the scope of delivery and the quality of the output sound, although the developers claim support for Hi-Res Audio.

Advantages:

  • low cost for full-size closed-type headphones;
  • laconic design and three body colors;
  • one-way cable connection.

Flaws:

  • rubberized cable that hardens in the cold;
  • scratchy plastic rim;
  • lack of replaceable ear pads;
  • straight mini-jack.

The best wireless headphones from Xiaomi

The first Xiaomi wireless headset with a pleasant appearance, a set of replaceable ear pads and a low cost. Bluetooth version 4.1 is responsible for transmitting sound in the headset; Hands free and Headset profiles are supported, as well as A2DP for listening to music.

Advantages:

  • one of best combinations prices and functionality in the wireless headsets market;
  • classic design and light weight of 6.5 grams;
  • the presence of an active noise reduction system;
  • good time battery life.

Flaws:

  • inability to control volume from the headset;
  • poor hearing in noisy places;
  • voice commands and functions in Chinese;
  • lack of attachment to the ear.

Wireless headphones with support for multiple profiles, designed primarily for sports. Vacuum headphones are lightweight, comfortable to fit on the ear and have a large set of replaceable ear pads. The output sound quality is good, and the battery life is 5-6 hours.
